CARING FOR YOUR CHEESE
Q: What do I do when the cheese arrives?
A: Keep it wrapped in original wrapping & refrigerate at 3 -5c, or better still, enjoy some.
Q: How do I store my cheese?
A: Our cheeses are artisanal and thus are very different from store bought cheeses, They do not contain any preservatives and need to be stored with utmost care. Bloomy rind cheeses like Brie & Camembert are very high in moisture content and have a tendency to dry out if not wrapped properly. Keep cheeses wrapped in original wrapping and better still keep in an air-tight box to avoid any moisture loss. Wipe of any excess moisture that may develop on the cheese or box. Further more cheeses have a tendency to absorb smells, so wrapping and boxing them will keep odd smells at bay. All that being said your cheese is "alive"and that means it needs to breathe in-case storing for longer periods. So make sure to open the box and wrapping to let the cheese air out and restore.
Q: How do I serve my cheese?
A: Cheese should always be served at room temperature, so removing your cheese and letting it sit for at least 30 - 45 mins will ensure a good textured and flavorful cheese. It can be served with crackers, nuts, fruits, breads, honey, cold & cured meats & a whole range of wines & beers.
Q: How long can I keep my cheese?
A: As stated before our cheeses do not contain any preservatives, the cheese is at its peak when its fresh, if your cheese is stored correctly it can last up to a week and half.
